Butterflies and Hornets

A vast world of rolling hills,
This is my home.
I am a butterfly,
In a world of butterflies and hornets.
Some of us are kind and gentle,
Others sting and bite.
To the unwary stranger,
We all seem strange and frightening.
And although we may be different,
We are really quite the same,
We butterflies and hornets.
We are the voices of the world,
We speak for those who can’t.
Now join us if you will, oh brother poet,
But tell me,
Be you a butterfly or hornet?

  2. Well Bottles, the butterflies and hornets are the artists, and most particularly poets in the world. Poets are a voice for the world. Some tell beautiful stories that make you feel good (butterflies) and others criticize humanity and have harsh and biting views (hornets). I hope this has helped.
